When you hear about nail care, you might first think of your fingernails. They can attract attention when dealing with other people but it is also important to have a good set of toenails. If you are the type that wear strappy shoes, high heels and even flip flops, it is definitely a plus factor if your nails are well taken care of. Whatever season it may be, well-cared-for toenails are accentuated by stunning nail colors. You can also have beautiful toenails with these pedicure tips. In fact, your toenails are easier to maintain since the next appointment they are going to get is weeks away. Fingernails need more maintenance every week or at least twice a month.

For doing your own pedicure, you need to have the right tools for the job. These include cotton balls, a nail polish remover, nail brush, nail clippers, nail antiseptic and an orange stick. You will also need a bowl of lukewarm, soapy water. If you want to apply nail color later, have a nail mask, nail color and foot pumice; but these things can be optional. When you have all of these, you can begin doing your pedicure.
It is important that you clean your nails first from any nail polish you previously have. Use a cotton ball with a nail polish remover. Then soak your feet in the basin to easily remove dirt and soften your cuticles as well. You can exfoliate dead skin with the use of a foot pumice. Use a moisturizing cream for massaging the feet and removing dry dead skin. Apply your nail polish after and finish with a topcoat. Make sure that your toenails are dry before you do anything else.
