Long red fingernails are beautiful and every woman wants to have them. Before you decide to have the red nails, you must know that they require good maintenance. Long nails require good care. Painting long nails red can be hard for some women who are afraid of too much attention. The red nails are good because they show true femininity.

Before you decide to have long red nails, you must consider the work you have to do everyday. A cashier or a writer who needs to type during her work can not do with the long red nails. The polish is also likely to chip which will make them look unprofessional.

Here are some tips to help you take care of the long red nails

1. You should file the nails gently. Do this from the outside to avoid causing rough scrapes on them. Avoid anything that will make your nails break as this could damage your long nails.
2. When buffing the nails, start from the bottom to the top. Do this gently and make sure you do it equally.
3. Use an orange stick to push your cuticles back. You must be gentle to avoid any harm on your cuticles.
4. Make sure you keep your hands clean. Remove any oil on your nails to keep them properly clean.
5. When applying the red nail polish, make sure you do it professionally. Any small mistake can be visible.
6. Make sure that you use good quality base coat for your nails. This ensures that your nails do not get stained. The red color is also given a chance to look nice when you use a base coat.
7. Two light coats of the red nail polish ensure that your nails look good. Avoid thick coats which cause bubbles and make your nails look bad.

When you hear about nail care, you might first think of your fingernails. They can attract attention when dealing with other people but it is also important to have a good set of toenails. If you are the type that wear strappy shoes, high heels and even flip flops, it is definitely a plus factor if your nails are well taken care of. Whatever season it may be, well-cared-for toenails are accentuated by stunning nail colors. You can also have beautiful toenails with these pedicure tips. In fact, your toenails are easier to maintain since the next appointment they are going to get is weeks away. Fingernails need more maintenance every week or at least twice a month.

For doing your own pedicure, you need to have the right tools for the job. These include cotton balls, a nail polish remover, nail brush, nail clippers, nail antiseptic and an orange stick. You will also need a bowl of lukewarm, soapy water. If you want to apply nail color later, have a nail mask, nail color and foot pumice; but these things can be optional. When you have all of these, you can begin doing your pedicure.
It is important that you clean your nails first from any nail polish you previously have. Use a cotton ball with a nail polish remover. Then soak your feet in the basin to easily remove dirt and soften your cuticles as well. You can exfoliate dead skin with the use of a foot pumice. Use a moisturizing cream for massaging the feet and removing dry dead skin. Apply your nail polish after and finish with a topcoat. Make sure that your toenails are dry before you do anything else.
